The Chardonnay grapes are harvested at the end of August from D'Amico's Vaiano vineyard, approximately 5 hectares in size. The soil type is volcanic, alluvial, deep and moderately fertile. The grapes are fermented in French oak barrels (20% of which are new). The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is then aged for 10 months in new, 2nd and 3rd use French oak barrels before release.
