Intense dark purple-red in colour with purple reflexes. On the nose, freshness dominates with excellent fruit texture. Elegant, clean, balanced with incredible freshness and an overwhelming persistence on the palate. Cherry and ripe plum dominate.

Grape Varieties : Pignolo

Vinification: 100% Pignolo grapes which are small irregularly shaped bunches of very waxy, thick, leathery tannic black skinned grapes. The vineyards are located in Cividale del Friuli and Prepetto with a South-East exposure at an altitude of 180-190 a.s.l. The grapes are manually harvested from mid to end October. Fermentation in wood with manual pressing and with no additional yeasts. Aged in new barriques for 12 months, with a further 12 months in large oak barrels, 6 to 8 months in tank for natural racking. The wine is not filtered before bottling.
