The grapes (Tazzelenghe 50% – Merlot 25% – Cabernet Sauvignon 25%) are hand harvested fairly late at the end of September/beginning of October. The vineyards are situated in Cividale del Friuli with South-East facing exposure at an altitude of 180m above sea level.
Fermenation is carried out spontaneously in oak barrels without the addition of yeasts and manual regular pump-overs.
The wine is aged in 60% new and 40% second use barriques for 12 months followed by another 12 months in large oak barrels and 6 to 8 months in stainless steel tanks. Non-filtered.
