Casanova di Neri’s Rosso di Montalcino comes from Le Cetine Pietradonice vineyards, South of Montalcino where the particular soil, microclimate together with the utmost care taken in the vineyard combine to produce unique Sangiovese (Nebbiolo) grapes.
The grapes were hand picked from the 1st to 5th October.
Casanova di Neri select the grapes in the vineyard and on the selection table at the winery where they are also de-stemmed.
Filling of vats by gravity. Fermentation without the addition of yeasts and maceration in open conical stainless steel vats for 2 to 3 weeks. The wine is aged in oak barrels for around 15 months.
