Dark purple-red in colour with purple reflexes. On the nose, the wine is fresh, enveloping and soft with a fruity blackberry and cherry fragrance and underlying hints of red rose. On the palate, one can taste raspberries and currants. Excellent tartaric acid concentration and a wonderful freshness.

Grape Varieties : Cabernet Sauvignon | Merlot

Vinification: 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards are located in Cividale del Friuli with a South-East exposure (and a clayey, flysch soil type). The grapes are manually harvested from mid to end September. Fermentation in stainless steel with manual pressing and with no additional yeasts. Aged in 80% new barriques & 20% second use barriques for 15 months, with a further 12 months in large oak barrels, 6 to 8 months in tank for natural racking and then 12 months bottle before release. The wine is not filtered before bottling.
