'Capraia' Chianti Classico DOCG, Tenuta di Capraia
Wine of excellent complexity and structure. Ruby red in colour with purple reflections. Fragrance is intense and rich in fruity notes, matched with a captivating balsamic element. The hint of wood is rather notable and well balanced. It's perceived as smooth and pleasing by the palate, with hints of keen tannic notes.

Vinification: The 45 hectare Capraia vineyards in Capraia and Bozzagone with medium soil composed of marl and clay. The vines are 10 to 35 years of age, east to west facing. The grapes are hand harvested in October. Maceration under controlled temperature (28 Celsius) for 10-12 days. Malolactic fermentation in steel tanks. Oak ageing for at least 15 months in the traditional Chianti barrels, followed by 6 months in steel tanks and at least 1 year in the bottle.
