Grape Varieties :
The Verdicchio grapes are organically grown in the communes of Rosora and Castelplanio in South-East, South-West facing vineyards.
The soil type is alluvial-deposited seabed sediment, predominantly clay, sand, silt and high content of lime. 2,220 and 3,500 vines per hectare.
On arrival at the winery, the organic Verdicchio grapes are crushed and de-stemmed by using dry ice (carbon dioxide) and then soft pressed. Fermentation follows at controlled temperatures without the use of sulphites. The wine matures 2 months 'sur lie' in stainless steel tanks, then bottle-ages in temperature controlled storage before release.
