Atavico's Rosso hand harvested grapes are grown in the commune of Acquaviva Picena in the province of Ascoli Piceno.
The Montepulciano (70%) and Sangiovese (30%) grapes are vinified in stainless steel tank without the addition of sulphites: maceration on the skins for 17 days with frequent pumpovers each day, particularly at the beginning. The wine then matures for 12 months in barriques following by a period in bottle in temperature-controlled storage before release.
