Vinification
The Falerno wines have been produced in the area around Mount Massico in the province of Caserta for more than 3,000 years. The grapes are harvested from Villa Matilde’s hillside, from south/south west facing vineyards. Low-temperature skin fermentation, removal of the must from the lees at low temperatures and finally the must ferments for about 15 days, at a controlled temperature of 18/20° C. The wine is then aged in stainless – steel tanks for around 3 months.

Tasting Notes
Straw-yellow in colour, the nose shows depth and elegance; reminiscent of ripe fruit, notably pineapple, bananas, peach, “Williams” pear, genista flowers and rose petal, with delicate notes of sage and vanilla. On the palate there is a well-balanced, rich, persistent and velvety taste with distinct finesse and personality. 13.5%vol |
