The final blend for the Old Vine Zinfandel is 86.3% Zinfandel and 13.5% Petite Sirah. About 50% of these vineyards were planted a decade after prohibition and about 50% of them were planted in early the 1900’s. The grapes are fermented in traditional small tank fermenters. The wine is aged for 6 months in new American oak before bottling and release.
