Flanked by the Mounty Loft Ranges to the East, Adelaide is the hub of the largest wine growing region in Australia, South Australia. Cooler than Barossa, Adelaide Hills is South Australia’s premier cool climate region most well known for it’s sublime Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with an increasing reputation for high quality Shiraz. Within the Adelaide Hills, lies Piccadilly Valley where vines were established as late as the 1970’s. Today, there are around 90 wineries in this most picturesque of wine valleys.
