Languedoc Roussillon
Known as a great value wine region, Languedoc Roussillon is France’s largest wine producing region encompassing 300,000 hectares of vineyards and accounting for about one third of all French wine made – three times more than that of Bordeaux and more than the whole of the U.S. Wine has been made here for hundreds of years thanks to the Mediterranean climate that encourages the vines to thrive. There is evidence of winemaking here by the Greeks and the Romans.
