The wine shows a broad, fruity nose with clear notes of cherries, plums and wild berries, complemented by delicate floral nuances and a complex array of spices. On the palate, it is dry and soft, with well-integrated, elegant tannins and a long, persistent finish that emphasizes its aromatic profile. It pairs well with red meats, braised dishes, game and aged cheeses.

Vinification:

The Taurasi DOCG “Vigna Piano D’Angelo” is an intense ruby red wine produced from grapes grown on mixed soils and trained using the spurred cordon system. The harvest takes place from the first to the third decade of November, with approximately 4,000 plants per hectare yielding around 50 quintals. After harvesting and pressing, the wine is matured for four months in French barriques and 18 months in large 500-liter barrels, followed by a two-year refinement in the bottle, a process that develops its structure, complexity, and aromatic intensity.
